Very nice color and nice powder texture. As an usucha it has a brothy, toasty and slight cocoa smell; its consistency is on the thinner side; it has a soft but deep profile (I hope that makes sense), with mild toasty notes and a balance between medium umami notes and a mild lingering bitterness. As a koicha it has a slightly stronger umami as the main note, with the same mild but lingering bitterness and mild toasty and cacao notes in the background. It has a very interesting type of bitterness, it reminded me of the kind of bitterness you get when eating a grapefruit. I know some people don´t like bitter notes in matcha, but I don´t think it detracts from the overall profile, but rather adds to it. If you like delving into interesting matcha profiles this one is a nice choice, but if the flavor profile doesn´t appeal to you, then you can pass on this one.

Nice color. Not the smoothest powder but definitely not bad. As an usucha it has a pleasant brothy and slightly roasted smell; it has mild nutty and unsweetened cocoa notes with a mild astringency; it is a rich, full-bodied usucha with a long umami finish. As a latte it has a mellow profile with cocoa notes, low umami and no bitterness; I personally enjoyed preparing it as a "strong" unsweetened matcha latte because of the cocoa notes. It is a nice choice for preparing either usucha or lattes if what you want is a matcha with nutty notes and moderate umami.

This one was a lovely malty matcha, a very nice mouthfeel for sure. There are strong leafy green, steamed green mid notes, with a nice even finish. There is a very slight sweetness mixed in with a pleasant bitterness that doesn't linger. Such a gd daytime tea. It really is an energizing sip.
