Mushakojisenke Endorsed Yamamasa Koyamaen Matcha
The Mushanokoji-senke is one of the biggest schools of sado in Japan. It was named after the street its head house is located on. The name of their tea-house, representative of the school, is Kankyu-an. Soshu, the second son of Sotan, had been once adopted and had left the house, but came back to the Sen family right before his father’s death and called himself Kankyu-an Mushanokoji-senke, thus founded the Mushanokoji-senke school.
The Ura and Omote-senke schools are called, together with another school Mushanokoji-senke, the Sanzen-ke, the “three families” established by descendants of Rikyu.
