Li Shan Hua Guan High Mountain Tea

Taiwanese oolong tea

Li Shan Hua Guan High Mountain Tea Li Shan Hua Guan High Mountain Tea Li Shan Hua Guan High Mountain Tea

Hua Guan is a fairly rare tea from the Hua Gardens lying above 2000m on the Li Shan, the highest mountain in Taiwan.

A beautifully fragrant tea, that instantly takes you to a fully blooming flower field. The floral character is forward in both the fragrance and the flavor. The verdant - aromatic notes of freshly cut flowers are blending with the heady lilac notes. It is sweet and creamy, a cup of irresistible charm. It is getting sweeter by the later infusions, with sweet sugary notes.

STEP 1) Warm your teapot. Pour boiling water into a gaiwan or teapot, let it sit for a little while, then discard all the water.
STEP 2) Rinse. Put the tea leaves in your vessel, pour hot water over them and then discard the water quickly. This step is for "waking the leaves" a little bit.
STEP 3) Brew. Pour boiling water on your rinsed tea leaves and brew for 30 seconds.
STEP 4) Serve. Pour the tea into a pitcher, and then into cups.
STEP 5) Brew again.

❖ After the first few infusions, you can increase the steeping time (to about 35-40 seconds).
❖ Make sure to open the lid of the teapot between infusions, to prevent the leaves from cooking.
❖ This is how we recommend brewing this tea, but we all have our preferences, so try experimenting to find the way you like it the most.

Sz******, 2022-12-07 05:16 JST,

Absolutely stellar high mountain oolong, I am impressed Sazen tea, it is getting harder to find such good examples, the leaves are dark green healthy, the stems are soft, it has a stcky tea juice covering the inside if the teabag, that is when you know you got the good stuff, I brewed 6 infusions, it can easely go 8, I was tired and it was late, but the body sensation was calm and meditative, it just reminded me why I love drinking tea.
