As it is made of first-flush high-quality tea stems, it is extra flavorful.
Thanks to the light and even infrared roasting, Bōhōjicha is mellow and aromatic.
Directly fire-roasted hōjicha powder (CMM006) tends to be spicier, with a sharper, more bitter aroma, while bōhōjicha (CMM011) is mellow and creamy.
Generally, hōjicha powder is lower in caffeine compared to matcha, which makes it an ideal base for evening soft drinks.

i find that this hojicha is quite mild. it requires some sweetener to bring out the flavours, otherwise it doesn't stand out well (even with more powder)

I would really recommend this one! The roasted notes and nuttiness of the hojicha really make it stand out, especially in milk.
