Initiation:
Before first use, rinse the cup with lukewarm (not hot) water, then let it dry completely!
Usage:
Porcelain is sensitive to sudden temperature changes, never expose the cup to open flame! Avoid placing it on hot surfaces, like stove, and never use it in microwave or oven.
Cleaning:
Rinse it well after every use. It is better to avoid dishwashing liquid, but you can use gentle, organic soap to clean your teaware. Never use bleach!
Avoid using dishwasher or dryer!
Avoid scrubbing the teacup.
Storage:
After use, always let the teacup dry completely, for if stored away while still wet, it might develop an unpleasant smell or mold.

This cup is truly a masterpiece. There was so much work put into it. The details are incredible. If you visually split the cup into horizontal sections there is some type of artistry that went into it in that section: Birds, Diamonds, Flowers, Sceneries. The bottom half of the cup has a beautiful 'swirled' effect. Inside all around the rim is more art. It feels really good in the hand and has a really hefty weight to it. It is a delight to drink my tea out of this absolutely beautiful Yunomi. Well worth the price and more. Thank you Sazen for offering such high quality items for us to enjoy.
