Setoyaki Matcha bowl from Yasuemon pottery
Beautiful Ao Oribe (green glaze) Hira Chawan (flat bowl) by Tetsuzan Matsumoto from Seto city, Aichi prefecture, Japan.
"Hira" chawan are flat and wide, commonly used in summer, because thanks to their shape, matcha cools easier in them.
Delivered with a signed wooden box by the master.
New stock will arrive in the second half of December, 2022.

This flat bowl is even more beautiful in person. It is also a bit different than the picture as you can see in my photo at the one that I received, though, I am still very pleased with it. The bowl is a little narrow at the bottom which meant learning to whisk a frothy bowl of matcha a bit differently, but it didn't take me long. It makes a perfect and delicious bowl of matcha and I love looking at it. It is of very high quality and workmanship. I love the dark green and the natural/neutral colors. It's a beautiful bowl that will serve me well for all seasons.
