How to prepare

STEP 1) Put 2g (0.4 US tsp, 1 teaspoon or 2 chashaku scoop) matcha powder into a suitable tea bowl.
STEP 2) Pour 60-70 ml (2-2.4 fl oz) cold or once boiled but cooled down water over the matcha powder.
STEP 3) Whisk with a chasen (tea whisk) until foamy.
STEP 4) Add some ice.

❖ Freshness is essential to enjoy Matcha to the fullest. It is best to consume the tea within one month of opening.
❖ Using spring water or mineral water with low natrium and calcium content is best. (High natrium and calcium content takes the pep out of tea)

This was a fun experiment to try. I was also uneasy about the consistency (exactly as pictured above), but the result was solid for both cold and hot water. But turns out, I really prefer normal warm matcha (usucha), so while we had a nice run together (the can and I), I'll be sticking to my beloved Kinrin. :)

When I first opened it, it scared me a little (the texture of the powder is very different than a normal matcha, I guess because it is made in a way it does not need sifting), but the taste was amazing! Fresh, a little flowery, perfect for a summer day. Will order again!
