Japanese organic oolong tea with a floral fragrance and smoked aroma
$12.96 / 70 g
Caffeine free, sweet cherry-leaf tea from Shizuoka Pref.
Sakura or cherry blossoms are emblematic flowers of Japan. Sakurabacha is made of the edible leaves of Oshima-zakura (a type of cherry tree) that are semi-fermented then dried during the processing. The unmistakable floral-fruity and slightly cinnamony aroma of sakurabacha is sweet reminiscence of Spring Japan.

notes of amaretto, this is a beautiful accompaniment to a chilly spring evening, my guests say they feel welcomed by the season with this tisane.

I basically want you to imagine a maraschino cherry with some bramble and bamboo. It's essentially what you would imagine a sweet cherry tree leaf to taste like. It's just amazing! It's a tea to savor and enjoy. The smell is heavenly, the taste is smooth and satisfying. It literally hits the spot. Probably the best non-tea I've had. No doubt I'm gonna be coming back to this! I encourage to give it a try, it's just so good.

Very light and floral, with a hint of fruit. Very pleasant!

This herbal tea has the essence of cherry blossom! Brewing the leaves of sakura tree with hot water, I could enjoy its extraordinary aroma. It's sweet and floral, savory and delicate, a true taste of Japanese spring.

Truly beautiful both in taste and the visual experience of brewing it. I used a gaiwan to make it and I like to play around with the temperature a bit to get different nuances. One particular thing I’ve discovered through this tea is that my state of mind (consciousness) really affects whether I find the taste notes in it or not. The gentler I am in my being (loving vs. stressed for example) the more I find in and like this tea. And being caffeine-free this has become one of my favourite night-time teas ;).
