Japanese organic oolong tea with a floral fragrance and smoked aroma
$12.96 / 70 g
Black tea with a deep, fruity flavor from Shiga, Japan
Excellent black tea developed from two varietals, the Indian origin Benihomare and Makura Cd 86. Making black tea is still not mainstream in Japan, but as it is sweet and fruity without any hint of bitterness, Japanese black tea has a promising future ahead.
The liquor is dark amber foretelling its depths. The texture is creamy, the aroma is slightly toasty, and the flavor is gently spicy and brilliantly sweet and fruity. The sweetness of vanilla caramel and the faint sourness of blackberry blend with the mellow honey notes, and this fusion is both interesting and delicious. The aftertaste is sweet with blackberry and peach notes prevailing.
Unlike Japanese green tea, black tea can make at least 4-5 great infusions, and it is gentle on the forgetful brewer. It doesn't turn bitter at all even if seeped longer.

STEP 1) Fill your pot with tea leaves in a 5g/150ml ratio.
STEP 2) Pour 95℃ (203ºF) water on the leaves, and brew for 60 seconds.
STEP 3) Serve. Pour an equal amount of tea into the cups. We always leave a little bit of water on the tea leaves to keep them hot.

Brilliant black tea. Tons of forest fruits (more prominent are blackberries and blackcurrants). Very sweet, honey like taste. Potent.

My first high grade black tea, and I keep coming back to this one because it's so good. It's easily in the same league as black teas from Fujian with strong floral and fruity notes. I get a strong scent of blooming beach rose and a flavor mixing stone fruits and beach rose hips. Brews a beautiful red-orange and a pot holding a teaspoon and a half of dry leaf goes at least 500 ml when brewed gong-fu style with short 10-30 second steeps. I've even tried benifuki black from other suppliers and this is literally a cut above, as when it opens in the pot you see nearly whole leaves like in the pictures! More US tea sellers need to take notes and show the leaf opened up along with dry.

Excellent, a bit sweet, this is my favorite black tea sold by Sazen.

Bold, fruity and well rounded tea. Thr effect is no slouch either. Like a warm hug. Im getting Melon, peach, roses and orchids. Very good. I'm new to Japanese black tea and this one is the best I've had. If you like fruity earthy and floral flavor, this one is great. It's not overpowering. It's balanced, elegant and great for an evening cup of tea to unwind after a long day's work. Long fruity aftertaste.

Probably my favorite black (red) tea I've had! Easily goes up against Chinese reds in terms of floral and fruity flavors.
