Japanese green tea with a well balanced, mild flavour from Mie, Japan
Green tea of Ise tea fields in Mie prefecture.
Kabusecha literally means "covered tea". About a week before picking tea leaves, tea fields are directly covered to be protected from the sunlight. Thanks to this method Ise Kabusecha has a mild taste behind the refreshing flavor.

Great daily かぶせ茶 kabusecha. Would buy again when I run low on my daily greens.

Its a light and balanced Kabusecha.
Slight sweetness, greenness and umami. The first and second brewing has more flavour. Mostly like roasted pumpkin seeds with greenness and after more steeping it tasted more green and like almond.
No bitterness, really light astrigency on high temperature(90°C)
I used 5g Tea, 200ml water. 1st steeping 1min,70°C, 2nd steeping 30sec, 75°C, 3rd steeping 2 min, 80°C. 4th steeping was weak, 5min and 90°C

This is a very fine tea with a pleasant grassy and umami flavor. Sometimes I prepare the first infusion as follows: 5 g / 100 ml, 50 ° C, 2 min. in a teapot that slightly rounds the infusion and suppresses bitter tones.

I really love this tea. I usually drink it in the evening watching tv. It has a very nice flavor, little sweet, mostly mellow. I usually use the same leaves twice.
