Yūki Hatsutsumi Sencha is cultivated in Ariake, close to the Ookuma peninsula in Kagoshima prefecture, which has a tea history dating back to the Edo era. Today Kagoshima is one of Japan’s major tea producers, second only to Shizuoka Prefecture.
Grown with the utmost attention to seasonal freshness, each leaf is carefully snipped off in early Spring. The effect when drinking is at once both refreshingly aromatic and sharp on the tongue, a profoundly pleasing combination.
Produced without fertilizer or other chemical compounds, this excellent tea serves as a fragrant ode to natural goodness.
