Tea scoop designed to measure out tea leaves from the tea caddy.
The base of the scoop is made of either walnut or willow wood, which is covered with very thin and fine Japanese cherry bark panels. Cherry bark craftsmanship originates from Akita prefecture and looks back on more than 200 years of history.
The scoop comes in two designs:
A) Mujikawa
"Mujigawa" is a technique in which the cherry bark's surface receives a polished finish.
B) Shimofurikawa
"Shimofurikawa" is a technique in which the cherry bark's surface is left natural, with no polishing involved.
The tea scoop comes in a paper box.
