Taiwanese oolong tea

Yu Shan Tataka High Mountain Tea Yu Shan Tataka High Mountain Tea Yu Shan Tataka High Mountain Tea Yu Shan Tataka High Mountain Tea Yu Shan Tataka High Mountain Tea

This Yu Shan Tataka High Mountain Tea was grown in the Tataka tea garden in the Northwestern part of the famous Yu Shan National Park. Grown at 1500m altitude, this is a standard Qing Xiang cultivar with the characteristic aromas of high mountain teas. Yu Shan, the always cloudy, misty mountain that barely sees sunshine, has a long history in tea cultivation and hosts several tea gardens, among which Tataka is one of the oldest.

This tea is a gently pampering, silky soft, creamy, and sweet tea with enchantingly sensuous, floral fragrances and flavors, with vanilla and green notes in the background and a sweet, round tropical fruity after taste. Its gentle charm earns this tea special attention, as every infusion is sure to take you on yet another journey filled with discoveries.

Try this rare Yu Shan High Mountain tea that is available in a very small amount not only in Japan but all around the world.

STEP 1) Put the tea leaves into the pot. Pour hot water over it for a few seconds, then pour it into the cups, then pour it all out. (This opens the leaves up while also pre-heats the tea utensils.)
STEP 2) Pour water over the leaves.
STEP 3) Steam it for required time.
STEP 4) Pour the tea into a pitcher, then into the cups to serve.

❖ For the second infusion, steep it for about half the time of the first infusion. For every other infusion after that increase the steeping time (from the time of the first infusion).
❖ Make sure to open the lid of the teapot between infusions, to prevent the leaves from steaming too much.

Taste of tea is a matter of preference, so try infusing tea in several ways and find your
favorite way to infuse.
