from Tokoname, Aichi Prefecture, Japan

A classy and unique pitcher, made of white clay. The silver glaze on the inside gives it a pearly, pristine finish. Another sophisticated and definitely outstanding piece from the Jinshu Kiln.

The pitcher is extremely precise, ensuring a beautiful, smooth tea flow.

It makes a beautiful set with Itoh Seiji's Chahai Asanohamon yunomi series.

The pitcher comes in a paper gift box with an authenticity certificate sealed by the master.

Remarks on the cleaning:
Since the glazing is silver, its color will change in time. It gives the surface a natural, antique feel, but if you prefer the original bright silver color, you can clean it with baking soda using a soft sponge.

Handling precautions

Initiation:
Before first use, rinse it with hot water, then let it dry completely!

Usage:
Avoid placing it on hot surfaces, like stove, and never use in microwave or oven.

Cleaning:
If you prefer to avoid tea stains, rinse the pitcher well after every use. It is better to avoid dishwashing liquid, but you can use gentle, organic soap to clean your pitcher. Never use bleach!

Storage:
After use, always let it dry completely, for if stored away while still wet, it might develop an unpleasant smell or mold.
