Cleaning:
After use, some matcha powder might stick to the scoop. To clean it, always use a dry cloth. Bamboo is extremely sensitive to moisture. If you clean it with a wet cloth, the water and the matcha powder seep into the material and damage it. Make sure you keep it dry!
Do not expose it to direct sunlight for too long!

very beautiful chashaku perfect for a spring ceremony since it is made of the sakura bark, it has a captivating shimmer to it the same way cherry tree branches do, and it makes you feel that you are holding the beauty of spring. However, the craftsmanship is a little rough, with small sharp edges along the sides of the tip of the chashaku, also there are small scratches on the inside of the scoop's tip. I understand that making a cherry bark covered bamboo tea scoop is quite difficult, and some room for error is okay because of this, and you cannot see the scrapes from far away. Although due to these scrapes, i would not reccomend using this scoop for serving tea to guests, as they may look at the scoop later during the utensil viewing, and notice such scrapes. It is still perfect for a personal spring ceremony though! :) and i still recommend this scoop to those who love the sakura tree.
