Classic usucha that is very popular at tea events
Kin no Uzu is a pleasantly mild, creamy, tea composition, delightful for curious newcomers to tea as an art. Its flavor features bitter and tart notes in the background; and while these don’t stand out fully, they are embedded in the harmonious whole. It has a superb price-value ratio and is recommended to be prepared with water of at least 80 degrees Celsius.
The meaning of Kin no Uzu "金の渦" :
"Kin" means "gold", and "uzu" can refer to swirls, whirlpools, and vortexes.
In Feng Shui, "golden whirlpools" were often drawn as symbols of good luck.

STEP 1) Put 2g (0.4 US tsp, 1 teaspoon or 2 chashaku scoop) matcha powder into a suitable tea bowl.
STEP 2) Pour 70 ml (2.4 fl oz) 80℃ (176°F) water over the matcha powder.
STEP 3) Whisk with a chasen (tea whisk) until foamy.
❖ Before Step 1, warm up the tea bowl with hot water, then dry it with a cloth to create the perfect temperature so make the most delicious matcha with a fresh scent while preparing. (Optional)
❖ To prevent clotting of the matcha powder, sift it through a fine strainer before use. (Strongly recommended)
❖ After the matcha is done, drink it immediately, because as it cools down it gets more and more bitter. (Recommended)
❖ Freshness is the most important thing for the enjoyment of Matcha. It is best to use up the tea within one month of opening. (Strongly recommended)
EXTRA TIP
❖ Try iced matcha: pour the finished matcha over ice.

I dont know exactly what to write. The flavour is complex, the texture is thick, smells sweet grassy. It has strong vegetal aroma, astrigent and bitter. I tried it with higher and lower temperature too. With 60°C water was not so bitter.

Very satisfying matcha. Enjoyable to drink everyday and more than good enough to serve guests. Tea is very fragrant with toasted notes. Robust flavor complemented with slight astringency. Made rather strong with 85C water, the result is creamy with great body and finish. Despite the robust flavor I find it more gentle on the stomach than some of the sweeter alternatives.
