Roasted first flush green tea blend
Sencha Hōjicha is made exclusively from first flush green tea leaves, and it is very much palpable in its freshness. This tea is charismatic and refreshing, slightly grassy with the aroma of dried beans.
As sencha tends to turn astringent when steeped for too long, short flushes are best for Sencha Hōjicha as well. Steep it short and you get a wonderfully fresh and delicious tea.
Thanks to the deep roasting, hōjicha is low in caffeine and gentle to the stomach. It is ideal for the elderly and children as well.

STEP 1) Fill your pot with tea leaves in a 6g/200-250ml ratio. STEP 2) Cool boiled water down to 95℃ (203ºF), pour it on the leaves and brew for 20 seconds.
STEP 3) Serve. Pour an equal amount of tea into into the cups.
STEP 4) Brew again.
