Japanese green tea with a rich flavor
This Gyokuro is produced in Ujitawara, the southern part of Kyoto. Ujitawara is a well-known tea plantation of Uji-cha (a brand of Japanese green tea). The producers cover this plantation with straw for about 20 days to put extra fragrance into the fresh tea leaves.

1. Put 6 g (1.2 tsp ) of Gyokuro into a small Japanese teapot.
2. Cool boiled water down to 40℃ (104ºF) and pour it (120cc) into the teapot.
3. Steep for 2 minutes and pour an equal amount of tea into each cup.
❖ This tea goes 3 steeps. For the second and third infusions, use hotter water and brew shorter.
❖ This is how we recommend brewing this tea, but we all have our preferences, so try experimenting to find the way you like it the most.

Deep vegetable flavor, not much sweetness. Pleasant green bitterness. Has some similarity with spinach, without the mouthfeel. Feels thoroughly rejuvenating in a mature and complex way.
