An exceptionally pleasant, mild and slightly sweet, creamy matcha tea which is particularly sweet and more full-bodied than Samidori, the next tea on our list The full-bodied creaminess and lightness of its aftertaste lingers on the palate. Use 80-85°C water for the best results, as astringent flavours can appear in the tea at lower temperatures.
The meaning of Yomo no Kaori "四方の薫" :
"Yomo" (四方) means from all directions at once - west, east, north, south, right, left, front and back. Thus, "Yomo no Kaori" (where "kaori" means a good smell or fragrance) creates an image of a lovely aroma wafting in from all sides.

How to prepare
As Usucha:
STEP 1) Put 2g (0.4 US tsp, 1 teaspoon or 2 chashaku scoop) matcha powder into a suitable tea bowl.
STEP 2) Pour 70 ml (2.4 fl oz) 80℃ (176°F) water over the matcha powder.
STEP 3) Whisk with a chasen (tea whisk) until foamy.
As Koicha:
STEP 1) Put 4g (0.8 US tsp, 2 teaspoon or 4 chashaku scoop) matcha powder into a suitable tea bowl.
STEP 2) Pour 30 ml (1 fl oz) 80℃ (176°F) water over the matcha powder.
STEP 3) Gently knead with a chasen (tea whisk) until all lumps are gone.
❖ Before Step 1, warm up the tea bowl with hot water, then dry it with a cloth to create the perfect temperature so make the most delicious matcha with a fresh scent while preparing. (Optional)
❖ To prevent clotting of the matcha powder, sift it through a fine strainer before use. (Strongly recommended)
❖ After the matcha is done, drink it immediately, because as it cools down it gets more and more bitter. (Recommended)
❖ Freshness is the most important thing for the enjoyment of Matcha. It is best to use up the tea within one month of opening. (Strongly recommended)
This matcha did not have enough flavour for me. I had it with and without milk, felt like I need to add so much more matcha to get enough flavour. Still a great beginner matcha that is not offensive, but also lacks depth.

BL******, 2021-06-12 15:59 JST,
Appearance, nose, palate. and preparation. All rates well for me. It is easy to whisk, frothy and thick. Green and vibrant. At the right temperature, its sweetness will rise. Very aromatic and sweet with a high pitch of umami at the end. It fits is name perfectly right. On the palate, it is creamy and heavy. Bold to the mouth feel. Sweeter and more complex than the Samidori (not from Sazen) that I tried before. It has a pleasant after taste that lingers but it can be astringent. I would recommend to get the temperature of the water right to enjoy this beverage that is an amalgamation for fragrances from four directions (as the name denotes. Sorry if I got the name wrong).
