Huang Jin Ye, a very rare Dancong varietal, gained fame from its bright golden leaves, it is also called the "Golden Leaf Dancong", and is one of the Dancongs which is often associated with the scent of osmanthus flowers.
Enchantingly gentle in both its aroma and taste, it is a truly soothing tea experience. It has a caressing-sweet, fruity fragrance that instantly brings us to early-October China, when osmanthus bushes all burst into bloom and fill the air with their heavenly sweet fragrance. This tea has a surprisingly intense osmanthus flavor, that also distantly reminds of ripe apricots. This note gets even more prominent in a couple of seconds after drinking.
The tea soup is pale orange, smooth and mellow, sweetness and astringency in a perfect balance in it. The sugarcane and peachy aftertaste is exceptionally lasting.
Ideally prepared with 95°C water and in 30 second infusions, gradually increasing the time of re-steeping.

How to prepare
3 g 0.1 oz 0.7 US tsp
95°C 203°F
100 ml 3.4 fl oz 100 cc
30 sec.~
STEP 1) Warm your teapot. Pour boiling water into a gaiwan or teapot, let it sit for a little while, then discard all the water.
STEP 2) Fill your pot with tea leaves in a 3g/100ml ratio, pour boiling water on them and brew for 30 seconds.
STEP 3) Serve. Pour the tea into a pitcher, and then into cups.
STEP 4) Brew again.
❖ For the second infusion, steep it for about half the time of the first infusion. For every other infusion after that increase the steeping time (to about 35-40 seconds).
❖ Make sure to open the lid of the teapot between infusions, to prevent the leaves from cooking.
❖ This is how we recommend brewing this tea, but we all have our preferences, so try experimenting to find the way you like it the most.
Clementine marmalade, marzipan, fresh oranges. Wet leaf smells like hay in summer mixed with dry field flowers. Very sweet taste and citrusy aftertaste. Potent and long lasting.

This tea distinguishes itself form the crowd by it's smooth milky experience that is mixed well with other components from floral fragrances to fruity aftertaste. It also has very smooth structure, easy to drink and finishes like icy cool peach milky dessert.
