Dongfang Meiren Grand Superior is grown without any agricultural chemicals and chemical fertilizers.
A small insect called Jacobiasca formosana sucks the sap of new leaves, hampering their growth. The tea is made only from the new leaves whose growth was hampered.
Tea farmers can pick the leaves for just 2 to 3 days in early June. One picker has to spend one day to gather leaves which will become a final product of 200 g.
The final product is produced after the leaves are processed for 16 hours.
TASTING NOTES
A fragrant, floral, honeyed and fruity dream of a tea. A deliciously full-bodied, mellow tea with a wonderful essence that spreads throughout the nose and pharynx upon tasting and lingers on the palate. Its sweet, aromatic flavor with plenty of citrusy notes lacks any astringent or bitter tones. Ideally prepared after brief rinse, starting with 95-degree Celsius water and 30-second infusions, gradually increasing the time of re-steeping until 1 minute, allowing you to enjoy approx. 5 infusions depending on the tea-water ratio.

How to prepare
3 g 0.1 oz 0.7 US tsp
95°C 203°F
100 ml 3.4 fl oz 100 cc
30 sec.~
STEP 1) Warm your teapot. Pour boiling water into a gaiwan or teapot, let it sit for a little while, then discard all the water.
STEP 2) Fill your pot with tea leaves in a 3g/100ml ratio, pour boiling water on them and brew for 30 seconds.
STEP 3) Serve. Pour the tea into a pitcher, and then into cups.
STEP 4) Brew again.
❖ For the second infusion, steep it for about half the time of the first infusion. For every other infusion after that increase the steeping time (to 35-40 seconds).
❖ Make sure to open the lid of the teapot between infusions, to prevent the leaves from cooking.
❖ This is how we recommend brewing this tea, but we all have our preferences, so try experimenting to find the way you like it the most.
Packed really well.
The taste of it is sweet, notes of liquorice, wood and cocoa.

Oriental Beauty from Sazen Tea. God, no words can describe how fragrant this tea is. The smell and taste notes are like cherry/plum. The hui gan, too, lingers in my mouth even after our session, though it has had an astringency in 4th to 5th infusions. I really love it.

This is really oriental beauty. No comparison with other products I've tasted.
A top quality tea.
I can't give it more than 5 stars, but it should. I will buy again.

Initial opening of the tea package, a wonderful aroma, something like peach, hits the nose but it quickly faded after opening. A very nice subtle peach aroma and taste in the first brew which was very enjoyable and refreshing but the 2nd brew became too earthy. Next time I won't brew the tea more than twice. Note that I first rinse the tea for 1 second to open up leaves and Steeped for 1 min for first brew and the second brew for 30 second.
I wished that the description on Oolong and black teas had included how much teas are oxidized and roasted, which would help which teas to purchase.
