New Years' green tea blend with seaweed and dried plums
Seasonal edition green tea from Kanbayashi Shunsho to celebrate the New Year and pray for luck and health.
In Japan, New Year, or "Oshōgatsu," is one of the most important and beloved holidays. Families gather to celebrate the arrival of the new year with various traditional customs. This special time is dedicated to starting the year with a positive mindset and good spirit. Drinking Obukucha is believed to support this process and bring good fortune for the year ahead.
The set includes 5 pieces of KONBU (seaweed) and 5 pieces of UMEBOSHI (salted dried plum). You can enjoy this exquisite sencha on its own, or boost the flavor of the tea soup with the added konbu and umeboshi.
The sencha itself is refreshingly verdant with notes of pickles and a hint of spiciness - piquant but not bitter. If you brew with konbu and plum, the tea gets a slightly salty-sour edge but still remains pleasant and smooth.
Available until the end of January or while stock lasts.
Please note, that Sazen Tea does not keep this product in stock. We get all matcha and tea powder fresh from the factories only after an order is placed for it on our website, and this process can take a few days. Thank you for your patience!

2. Cool boiled water down to 70-85℃ and pour it into the teapot.
3. Steep for 40 seconds and pour an equal amount of tea into each cup.
